The Rolla Town Band, directed by Dr. Donald Miller, assistant professor of music at the University of Missouri-Rolla, will hold several free concerts this July. Each concert will start at 7:30 p.m.

The band will hold its first summer performance Saturday, July 2, at Ber Juan Park in Rolla. More concerts will be held on the lawn of Castleman Hall on the UMR campus, 10th and State streets in Rolla, on Thursday, July 7; Friday, July 15; Thursday, July 21, and Tuesday, July 26.

The group is led by Miller and associate director Chris Brown, a graduate student in information science and technology from Niles, Mich.

“Remember your lawn chairs or blankets when you come to enjoy a musical evening of our local talent at this year’s Rolla Town Band concerts,” Miller says. “The band has been practicing two nights a week in preparation for July’s performances.”
