Public radio station KUMR’s annual rummage sale, originally scheduled for Saturday, July 9, has been cancelled this year due to staffing concerns.

“Currently the KUMR staff feels we can’t devote enough time and effort required to offer a quality sale of this magnitude,” says Donna Cogell, marketing manager for KUMR. “We apologize to all of our supporters who have been saving up for the cause. However, there are many other organizations in our listening communities who would benefit from the donations.”

Cogell recommends donating items to the Phelps County Community Partnership, an organization that promotes awareness of community needs and supports several programs to help children, families and the community. The partnership can be reached at (573) 368-2894.

Public radio KUMR is a 100,000 watt non-commercial educational station licensed to the University of Missouri-Rolla and is located at 88.5 FM (96.3 FM in Lebanon at its translator facility) and online at www.kumr.org.
