The University of Missouri-Rolla will celebrate the 30th anniversary of its Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) program with festivities on Saturday, March 12.

The event, "WISE Beyond Our Years," will begin at noon with a reception in the Havener Center, followed by a Hall of Fame ceremony, campus overview, student design projects, alumni spotlights, student displays and campus tours. A banquet will begin at 6 p.m.

Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for UMR students. For more information or to purchase tickets, call (573) 341-7286 or email Cindi Vogt, cvogt@mst.edu, or Dana Gow, gowd@mst.edu.

Established at UMR in 1975, WISE primarily served as a scholarship program until 2000, when it developed a renewed mission and strategic plan that included several new student programs for girls in engineering, math, and science.
