Members of the Rolla Area Chamber of Commerce were present for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at UMR’s Havener Center Feb. 23. Following the ribbon-cutting, chamber members ate lunch in the new student center and toured the facility.

Later, Chartwell’s Dining Service hosted a catering exposition to display the entire catering process available to the community at the Havener Center. For more information about catering, contact Julie Borland, Chartwell’s dining manager, at 465-7787.

The Havener Center features the UMR Bookstore, a food court and coffee shop operated by Chartwell’s Dining Services, a branch of the Phelps County Bank, administrative and student offices, and meeting and banquet space for groups as small as 10 and as large as 500. The St. Pat’s Ballroom is the largest banquet facility in the area with more than 7,000 square feet of floor space.
