Civil engineering student named UMR’s 2004 Homecoming king

Patrick Wallain of Anderson, Mo., a senior in civil engineering at the UMR, has been chosen UMR’s 2004 Homecoming King. Wallain was nominated by Sigma Chi.

Members of the king’s court are: first runner-up, William Nance of Greenville, Ill., a senior in aerospace engineering, nominated by Kappa Alpha; second runner-up, Paul Manley of St. Louis, a senior in electrical engineering, nominated by Sigma Tau Gamma; third runner-up, Hugh Benhardt of O’Fallon, Mo., a junior in mechanical engineering, nominated by Quadrangle Hall Association.

The king and members of his court were chosen from among student candidates after interviews and a campus wide election. The winners were announced Saturday, Oct. 16, during halftime ceremonies of UMR’s homecoming football game.
