Kummer Day of Giving match program raises over $750,000 for Missouri S&T students
Missouri University of Science and Technology supporters recently doubled the impact of their donations thanks to a matching challenge. The donations from 74 alumni, eight S&T employees, and a few donors who requested anonymity totaled $350,000, which was matched by the Kummer Institute Foundation for a total of $700,000.

Minteer, the Dale and Susan Poulter Endowed Chair of Biological Chemistry at the University of Utah, has been appointed founding director of the Kummer Institute Center for Resource Sustainability at Missouri University of Science and Technology. Meet a few of Missouri S&T’s Kummer Vanguard Scholars
A few Kummer Vanguard Scholars recently shared their thoughts on the program and how it has affected their S&T experience. The program has grown dramatically since it began in 2021. This August, 1,180 of the students who start the semester at Missouri University of Science and Technology – including nearly 400 first-year students – are recipients of Kummer Vanguard Scholarships and participants in a program that provides learning opportunities beyond the classroom.
