But when she started looking at universities, Moersch, a senior in business and management systems at Missouri S&T, found that large programs at large schools simply did not offer ample opportunities to differentiate herself.

Missouri S&T poised to help Missouri manufacturers make 3D printing the new normal

With the recent purchase of a large-format metal 3D printer, the Kummer Institute Center for Advanced Manufacturing at Missouri S&T took an important step toward helping Missouri manufacturers use technology to sharpen their competitive edge. The purchase was based on feedback and input from manufacturers, who report that acquiring traditionally manufactured parts has become increasingly difficult due to irregularities in the supply chain.

Missouri S&T celebrates membership in Public Interest Technology University Network

The Center for Science, Technology and Society (CSTS) will celebrate S&T’s recent membership in the Public Interest Technology University Network (PIT-UN) with a launch party Friday, Oct. 20, at 2 p.m. in the Collaboratory, which is located in the Humanities and Social Sciences Building on the S&T campus. The event is free and open to the public.

The 24-hour Campus Impact Challenge starts Friday, Sept. 15, at 4 p.m. in St. Pat’s Ballroom C of the Havener Center, where teams will be formed based on interests.

First-day enrollment grows, tops 7,000 at Missouri S&T
