Miners prepare for take off

The public will have an opportunity to view Saturn and the moon after sunset on Friday, April 3, at Visitors’ Night at Missouri S&T’s Observatory. Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun and is the second largest in the solar system. Its ring system makes the planet one of the most beautiful objects in the solar system, and a favorite of sky watchers.

Missouri S&T professor receives Iraqi Cultural Office’s Mesopotamia Award

Al-Dahhan, chair of chemical and biological engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology, recently received the Mesopotamia Award for Engineering from the Iraqi Cultural Office – USA. The award is presented to U.S. academics of Iraqi origin for achievements in engineering, science, medicine and the humanities.

National tour of ‘Ain’t Misbehavin” coming to S&T

The national tour of the Tony award-winning musical revue “Ain’t Misbehavin'” is coming to Rolla. The show, starring Ruben Studdard, the 2003 “American Idol” singing competition winner, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 5, on campus. The performance is part of Missouri S&T’s Campus Performing Arts Series and will be held in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall.
