Saudi Arabia students affected by Crowdstrike outage still able to enjoy summer camps

Missouri S&T holds a wide variety of STEM-related summer camps that bring in students from around the nation, and even all around the world. In July, a group of four high school students from Saudi Arabia had a difficult journey getting to the Missouri S&T campus to attend the Exploring Materials in Your World Camp. While they were forced to miss most of the actual camp, S&T employees ensured the international students still had a fun and educational time while at Missouri S&T.

Million-dollar milestone — Missouri S&T brings in record licensing revenue

Missouri University of Science and Technology’s office for Technology Transfer and Economic Development (TTED) has over a million reasons to celebrate. 1,016,000, to be exact. That’s how many dollars in licensing revenue the university earned for the 2024 fiscal year, which ended June 30. The licensing revenue is shared with the inventors and their departments in accordance with the university’s Collected Rules and Regulations.

Missouri S&T launches innovation ecosystem design initiative

Dr. Venkat Allada, professor of engineering management and systems engineering, has been named executive director of the Innovation Ecosystem Design Initiative, a one-year project organized and launched by the Kummer College of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Economic Development at Missouri University of Science and Technology. Allada’s appointment took effect July 1.
