Family Film Series at S&T begins Sept. 22
The 2012-13 Leach Theatre Family Film Series will begin with Cats Don’t Dance by Turner Entertainment at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22. This series of family-friendly films will be shown at Missouri University of Science and Technology’s Leach Theatre in Castleman Hall, 10th and Main streets in Rolla, Mo.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, Sept. 29, when downtown Rolla comes alive for the third annual Celebration of Nations. This year’s highlights include performances by the Caribbean-style steel drum Banana Oil Pan Band and the Springfield Kiltie Band on bagpipes. Five-dollar camel rides will also be available and cameras are welcome.

Enrollment at S&T continues to climb
The first day of classes at Missouri University of Science and Technology began Monday, Aug. 20. Enrollment on the first day was 7,406, an increase of nearly 2 percent from fall 2011 first-day enrollment of 7,271.
