UMR’s Brow named director of American Ceramic Society
Dr. Richard Brow, Curators’ Professor of Ceramic Engineering and chair of the materials science and engineering department at the University of Missouri-Rolla, has been named director of the American Ceramic Society. Brow’s term on the society’s board of directors will run through fall of 2009.

Researchers at the University of Missouri-Rolla are helping to develop a two-layer, chromate-free coating system to protect military equipment, especially aircraft, from corrosion. The two layers consist of a non-chromate conversion coating and self-priming ultra-violet light materials.
