UMR professor receives award from mechanical engineering society

Dr. Ming Leu, the Keith and Pat Bailey Missouri Distinguished Professor of Integrated Product Manufacturing in the University of Missouri-Rolla’s department of mechanical and aerospace engineering and director of the UMR Intelligent Systems Center and the Center for Aerospace Manufacturing Technologies, recently received a Distinguished Service Award from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).

UMR researcher selected as IEEE fellow

Finley Missouri Distinguished Professor of Computer Engineering at the University of Missouri-Rolla, was selected as a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) on Nov. 21 for his contributions to hardware implementations, reinforcement and unsupervised learning.

UMR announces creation of new School of Extended Learning

Beginning in January 2005, the UMR Global program at the University of Missouri-Rolla will become the UMR School of Extended Learning, an official academic unit. The change will allow campus officials to expand on the university’s current distance and continuing education course offerings.

Equipment donation aids mechanical, aerospace engineering students
