Dr. Mohammad Qureshi, assistant professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering at the University of Missouri-Rolla, has been selected to serve as the UMR director of the Missouri Transportation Institute (MTI), a statewide consortium involving 11 Missouri colleges and universities that is housed at UMR.

Five alumni of the University of Missouri-Rolla were inducted into the UMR Academy of Mines and Metallurgy on April 21.

Thirty-one faculty members in the University of Missouri-Rolla School of Extended Learning were recognized for outstanding teaching in distance courses during a ceremony on campus April 27.
