Missouri S&T music ensembles to perform

Missouri University of Science and Technology’s arts, languages, and philosophy department will present their winter band concert this February. 

The performance will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall, located at the corner of 10th and Main Street on the Missouri S&T campus. The wind symphony will be directed by Dr. David Samson, assistant professor of music at Missouri S&T.  

“The University Wind Symphony is excited to share this program of music inspired from around the world. We’ll take you on a musical journey to Russia, Japan, England and back home to America. We’ll also be sharing the stage with two of our fantastic student-led ensembles, the Movie Music Ensemble and Saxophone Choir.” 

Tickets are $5 for the public and free to youth, ages 18 and under, and Missouri S&T students with a valid ID. Tickets can be purchased 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday from the Leach Theatre Box Office, located inside the main entrance to Castleman Hall, facing 10th Street. Tickets can also be purchased at the door starting an hour before the event, online at leachtheatre.mst.edu, or by calling 573-341-4219. Service fees may apply to tickets purchased online.
