Missouri University of Science and Technology students will have a chance to meet with hundreds of recruiters at the Spring Career Fair this February. Missouri S&T’s career fairs attract an average of 378 employers to campus to meet with students and alumni.
The fair will be held 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, in the Gale Bullman Building on the Missouri S&T campus in Rolla. The fair is open to Missouri S&T students and alumni seeking internships, co-ops and full-time positions.
According to the latest data from career opportunities and employer relations (COER) at Missouri S&T, the average starting salary for S&T graduates with a bachelor’s degree is approximately $73,000. Missouri S&T is the No. 3 best public university for career placement in the country, according to the Princeton Review.
Attendees should download the Career Fair Plus mobile app, which will allow them to filter employers by major and industry and plan their route through the fair. No printed maps will be available, so attendees should plan to bring a mobile device with the app already downloaded.
Attendees should print out copies of their resumes to give to employers, in addition to uploading their resumes to the Career Fair Plus app. COER requires attendees to adhere to a professional dress code for entry to the Career Fair; students in need of assistance can visit the Career Closet in Norwood Hall.
