The Leach Theatre stage will be filled with holiday magic this December for Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker,” presented by Classical Arts Entertainment.   

There will be two performances, at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13 and 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14. Both performances will take place at Leach Theatre in Castleman Hall, located on the Missouri S&T campus at the corner of 10th and Main streets in Rolla.  

The theater will be transformed into a festive winter wonderland, with hand-painted sets and over 200 dazzling costumes. The ballet features a cast of dancers from 12 countries, including several principal dancers from Ukraine. The ballet will be presented in two acts of 50 minutes each with a 20-minute intermission. The performance is recommended for audiences ages 3 and older. 

Tickets range in price from $45 to $65, depending on seat location. Tickets can be purchased at the Leach Theatre Box Office, located inside the main entrance of Castleman Hall, facing 10th Street. The box office is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
