Missouri University of Science and Technology is one of the nation’s best public universities when it comes to career placement for its graduates, student internships and overall value, according to the Princeton Review’s latest “The Best 391 Colleges – 2026 Edition,” released this week.

Missouri S&T is again ranked third among the nation’s top public universities for best career placement. The ranking is based on student ratings of career services collected by Princeton Review and graduate salary data from PayScale.com. Missouri S&T’s career opportunities and employer relations department is staffed with professionals who provide resources for students at all stages of their education and career goals.

“Missouri S&T provides a first-class education, and employers know the quality of student that graduates from this institution, so finding a job is no problem at all,” says one student who spoke to the Princeton Review.

S&T is ranked fifth on Princeton Review’s list of best public universities for internships. This rating is based on college student ratings of accessibility of internship placement at their university. One factor that contributes to successful internship placement is S&T’s career fair, held twice each year for students seeking internships as well as full-time employment. All students, including first-year students, are encouraged to attend career fairs.

S&T is ranked 21st among public universities for best value, or return on investment (ROI). For this ranking, the Princeton Review analyzed academic quality and selectivity, affordability, and availability and quality of financial aid packages, as well as salary and career prospects of graduates.

One student called S&T “one of the best universities that prepares engineers for industry.”

The Princeton Review chose 391 colleges for the 2026 rankings. They created school profiles for those 391 colleges based on candid feedback from over 170,000 students, covering academics, administration, campus life and financial aid.
