Missouri S&T will host its Innovative Communication Conference Tuesday, April 30 through Thursday, May 2. The conference, which is free and open to the public, will draw on panel presentations, poster sessions and multimedia demonstrations.
The conference will also provide opportunities to learn about research done by graduate and undergraduate S&T students. The conference is an in-person event that will be held at the Havener Center on the S&T campus. Andrew Careaga, retired chief marketing officer of Missouri S&T with four decades of experience in journalism and public relations, will be the keynote speaker for the conference.
“ICC provides a platform to help empower our student scholars to share their research, creative projects, and other ideas while promoting a culture of interdisciplinary collaboration,” says organizer Dr. Jossalyn M. Gale, assistant professor of English and technical communication, and director of S&T’s Writing and Communication Center. “We want to inspire intellectual growth, celebrate diverse voices and cultivate a community where innovation and effective communication are at the forefront of peoples’ minds.”
There is no cost to attend the conference. Attendees are asked to register for the event by Monday, April 29, by visiting https://sites.mst.edu/innovativecommunicationconference/.
The conference welcomes support from area organizations and businesses, which can sponsor the event at various tiers. For more information regarding the conference or sponsorship, email Gale at larsonjo@umsystem.edu.
