The Rolla Town Band will perform four concerts this summer, all free and open to the public.
The band will take part in Rolla’s Make Music Day concert on Wednesday, June 21. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Downtown Band Shell in Rolla. The Rolla Men of Song and Rolla Community Choir will also perform at the concert.
The band will have three more concerts on Thursday June 29, Tuesday July 4, and Thursday July 13, all beginning at 7:30 p.m. The June 29 concert will be in Leach Theater, while the July 4 and 13 concerts will be outdoors on the Castleman Hall Green, located at the corner of 10th and State streets on the Missouri S&T campus.
Each concert will include a variety of music, from traditional marches to music from film and TV. The June 29 concert will feature a performance by the 135th Army Band’s “Bear Brass” ensemble, as well as a trumpet trio performing Leroy Anderson’s “Bugler’s Holiday.” The July 4 concert will feature patriotic pieces and American marches.
