“HYPROV: Improv Under Hypnosis” is coming to Missouri S&T’s Leach Theatre in May.
The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 5, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall, located on the Missouri S&T campus at the corner of 10th and Main streets in Rolla. Tickets for the general public are $55 for adults and $50 for students and youth under 18. Missouri S&T students will have several opportunities to buy discounted tickets to the show.
The 90-minute show begins with hypnotist Asad Mecci inviting 20 volunteers on stage to be hypnotized. Those who are most receptive to hypnosis will join Colin Mochrie of “Whose Line is it, Anyway?” to improvise the rest of the show while hypnotized with help from audience suggestions.
The Student Union Board (SUB) is sponsoring $10 tickets for the first 200 Missouri S&T students who purchase their ticket at the Leach Theatre box office. Students must present their S&T ID at the box office to receive the discount.
S&T student rush tickets will also be available for $25 each at the Leach Theatre table in the Havener Center atrium from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fridays April 21, 28, and May 5. If the show is not sold out as of one hour before start time, student tickets for the back row of the theatre will be available at the box office for $25 each.
Tickets can be purchased at the Leach Theatre Box Office, located inside the main entrance of Castleman Hall, facing 10th Street. The box office is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
