The Aquila Theatre Company will bring its version of Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice” to Missouri S&T’s Leach Theatre stage on Feb. 25.
The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Leach Theatre in Castleman Hall, located on the Missouri S&T campus at the corner of 10th and Main streets in Rolla. Tickets are $40 for adults, and $35 for students and youth under 18.
“Pride and Prejudice” follows the Bennet sisters as they try to find love and marriage in a social satire filled with unforgettable characters, wit, romance and dancing. Austen puts the thoughts and feelings of the women front and center while humorously skewering the absurdities of the English class system.
Aquila Theatre Company was founded in London in 1991 before moving to the United States in 1994, where it went on to build up an extensive international touring circuit and became an established part of the New York City theater scene. This performance is sponsored by Phelps County Bank.
Tickets can be purchased at the Leach Theatre Box Office, located inside the main entrance of Castleman Hall, facing 10th Street. The box office is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tickets can also be purchased online at minertix.universitytickets.com/w/event.aspx?id=1707 or by calling 573-341-4219. Service fees may apply to tickets purchased online or by phone.
