Six new 10-minute plays will be written and performed in 24 hours by Missouri S&T students and invited guest artists at Leach Theatre’s fifth Overnight Theatre Festival.

The performance will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, in Leach Theatre in Castleman Hall, located on the Missouri S&T campus at the corner of 10th and Main streets. The event is free to attend and open to the public.

On Friday night the playwrights will be given a genre, a theme and a line of dialogue that must be used in their plays. They will have to write a 10-minute play by Saturday morning, so that the actors and directors can rehearse in the afternoon before the performance.

For more information about the event, contact Taylor Gruenloh at gruenloht@mst.edu or call the performing arts office at 573-341-4185.
