Theater students in Missouri S&T’s arts, languages and philosophy department will produce an evening of one-act plays for the general public this December.

The performances will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4; Thursday, Dec. 5; and Friday, Dec. 6. All performances will be held at the Black Box Theatre in Room 143 Castleman Hall, located on the Missouri S&T campus at the corner of 10th and Main streets. The shows performed at this event will be student directed and include a new play written by a Missouri S&T student.

“We have a handful of students who’ve been heavily involved in the theater here at S&T graduating this semester,” says Taylor Gruenloh, assistant professor of theatre at S&T. “We wanted to have a night centered around them. One play is even written by one of our students, and it’s been a fun adventure working with them on the play throughout the semester.”

Tickets are $5 at the door of the Black Box Theatre for the general public and free to youth ages 18 and under, and to Missouri S&T students with a valid ID.
