The Rolla Town Band will perform pop music and marches during its second concert of the summer this June.

The concert will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 27, on the Castleman Hall Green, located at the corner of 10th and State streets, on the Missouri S&T campus. The concert is free and open to the public.

The band will play music from a variety of styles, including popular music, movie soundtracks, traditional band works, concert marches and patriotic selections.

“We are excited to have over forty members of the Rolla area join us in playing this summer,” says Dr. David Samson, director of the band and assistant professor of music at S&T. “It’s a fine band with players of all ages and abilities.”

The 2019 band is sponsored by Missouri S&T’s arts, languages, and philosophy department and the World’s Finest Rolla German Band. For more information about the Rolla Town Band, contact Samson at 573-341-4219 or samsondw@mst.edu.
