Leach Theatre announces 2018-19 season

Leach Theatre will open its 27th season with a performance by the violin and viola duet “Black Violin.” The 2018-19 Campus Performing Arts Series (CPAS) will feature a mix of music, theater, dance and more on the campus of Missouri S&T.

The following artists will perform at Leach Theatre:

— Black Violin: Friday, Sept. 28. This violin-viola duet will perform a variety of musical genres on traditionally classical instruments.

— Opus Cactus by MOMIX: Thursday, Oct. 4. Dance troupe MOMIX will interpret the American Southwest by creating images of cactuses, slithering lizards and fire dancers.

— The Texas Tenors: Friday, Nov. 9. The three-time Emmy Award-winning Texas Tenors will bring their version of country, pop and opera to the Leach stage.

— Frankenstein by Aquila Theatre: Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019. Mary Shelly’s classic book will be adapted for the stage by Aquila Theatre.

— ETHEL with Robert Mirabal: Friday, Feb. 22, 2019. String quartet ETHEL will collaborate with Native American musician Robert Mirabal to present a performance called “The River.”

— Brewer & Shipley: Friday, March 8, 2019. Best known for their Top 10 signature song “One Toke Over The Line,” this folk rock duo will celebrate its 50th anniversary this season.

All performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. Single ticket sales will begin on the first day of the Missouri S&T fall semester Monday, Aug. 20.

Season subscriptions are now available. A full season package includes all six CPAS shows for $200 and a four-pack allows you to select any four shows for $145.
