Leach Theatre will host a performance by Catapult, a dance company popularized by America’s Got Talent, as a part of the 2017-18 Campus Performing Arts Series at Missouri S&T this April.

The performance will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 9, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall located at 10th and Main streets in Rolla.

Catapult gained notoriety on Season 8 of the television program. Since then Catapult has toured around the globe with its show “Magic Shadows.”

Tickets are $40 for adults and $35 for youth and can be purchased through the Leach Theatre Box Office, located in the vestibule inside the main entrance of Castleman Hall, facing 10th Street. The Leach Theatre Box Office is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tickets can also be purchased online at leachtheatre.mst.edu.

“Magic Shadows” combines dance, storytelling, and sculpture to create a wide array of images for the audience. Dancers appear to become elephants, mountains, helicopters and even houses with people inside. “Magic Shadows” consists of eight stories told through music and shadows with six small dance videos in between.

The April 9 performance is sponsored by Baymont Inn and Suites, Fidelity Communications, Results Radio and Phelps County Regional Medical Center.
