Six films from the Tournées Festival, a grant program that helps to bring the best of contemporary French film to American universities, will be a part of the 2018 Free Spring Film Festival at Missouri S&T this Spring.
All films in the series are free to attend and are open to the public. Films will be shown at 7 p.m. on Tuesdays March 20 through April 24 in Room 104 Physics Building, 1315 N. Pine St. in Rolla.
The first film, showing on March 20, is “Band of Outsiders,” a 1964 film directed by New Wave director Jean-Luc Goddard. The film centers on two crooks, Franz and Arthur, who learn of a stash of 10,000 francs in their English classroom. Franz first learned of the money from Odile, a young woman in the same class. Franz and Arthur act like B-movie tough guys as they attempt to force Odile to help them steal the money.
