Missouri University of Science and Technology will conduct a test of its emergency alert system at noon Wednesday, Sept. 13.

The test will include a text message to students and employees saying, “This is a test of the Missouri S&T emergency mass notification system. This is only a test.” The test will also include voice and email alerts.

Missouri S&T’s mass notification system (MNS) is designed to alert the campus community to a potential threat, emergency situation or severe weather.

Students, faculty and staff members who are not enrolled in the emergency alert system may sign up online at alert.mst.edu.

Missouri S&T’s Emergency Management Plan, including the university’s emergency response and evacuation procedures, is posted on the University Police website at police.mst.edu/eap.
