Students can still register for the five-day Jackling Introduction to Engineering Camp at Missouri University of Science and Technology. The camp will be offered at three different times this summer: June 11-15, June 25-29, and July 9-13. Students should be incoming high school juniors or seniors.
At the camp, students will learn how math and science relate to the field of engineering. By seeing first-hand what engineers actually do, campers can better decide on a career or discipline they want to pursue. Whether a student is interested in clean energy, cars and motorcycles, explosives, or building bridges, the camp will educate them through hands-on activities, computer laboratory visits and practical demonstrations.
The camp is $470 for commuters and $550 for residential hall campers. Camp fees cover meals, activities and supplies, along with housing for those who register to stay at Missouri S&T during the camp. Participants are responsible for transportation to and from the campus.
Register online at summer.mst.edu by selecting “Jackling Introduction to Engineering.” For more information, contact Missouri S&T’s distance and continuing education department at 573-341-6222 or dce@mst.edu.
