The Missouri University of Science and Technology Symphony and Chamber Orchestras will perform their fall concert on Thursday, Nov. 17, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall located at 10th and Main streets in Rolla.
The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and free for Missouri S&T students with student ID and youth age 18 and younger. Tickets are available from the Leach Theatre Box Office, located in the vestibule inside the main entrance to Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall, facing 10th Street.
The concert will begin with a performance by the Missouri S&T Chamber Orchestra. The group will perform “Minuet and Trio” from “Quintet in E” composed by Luigi Boccherini, an arrangement of “Don’t Stop Believing” by Kathryn Griesinger and Concerto No. 2 in G Minor “Summer” by Antonio Vivaldi. “Summer” will feature a violin solo by Denise Minard, a senior in petroleum engineering.
After a brief intermission, the Missouri S&T Symphony Orchestra will take the stage and perform “Marche Slave” by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Symphony No. 7 in A Major, movement II “Allegretto,” by Ludwig van Beethoven and “Greatest Journey” by Martin O’Donnell and arranged by Jonathan Romanko, a junior in aerospace engineering.
The Chamber and Symphony Orchestras are conducted by Brianna Williams, a lecturer in arts, languages, and philosophy at Missouri S&T.
