The Chancellor’s Leadership Academy at Missouri University of Science and Technology will host its annual Trunk-or-Treat event on Monday, Oct. 31, for Rolla area children sixth grade and younger.
“Trunk-or-Treat” will be hosted 5-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, in the University Commons parking lot (Lot H) located on University Drive next to Dairy Queen across from Residential Commons.
Trunk-or-Treat is an annual event where Missouri S&T student organizations volunteer their time to decorate vehicles with a Halloween theme and fill their trunks with candy for Rolla families to have a safe and fun atmosphere for trick or treating. The event is free and open to Rolla children, sixth grade and younger, and their families. Student radio station KMNR will provide music for the event and there will be contests for both best costume and best car decorations during the event.
The Missouri S&T Chancellor’s Leadership Academy is a yearlong leadership experience designed to provide second-semester freshmen with opportunities to develop and practice the skills, values and knowledge of effective leadership. Students are selected based on their academic merit, leadership, community service and involvement at Missouri S&T.
