Area children are invited to join Missouri University of Science and Technology’s Ballet and Dance Club in its upcoming production of “Alice in Wonderland” in February. Young dancers can attend a dance camp on Saturday, Jan. 30, to learn the opening dance.
The dance camp will be held 1-3:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at The Dance Studio, 10409 State Highway BB in Rolla. The camp is open to children ages 3-13. Attendees will interact with S&T cast members and learn the dance that they’ll perform as an opening to the performance. The children will perform at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14.
Fee for the dance camp is $35 per child. All campers will receive a T-shirt to wear at the Feb. 14 performance, as well as a child’s ticket to see the S&T Ballet and Dance Club’s performance of “Alice in Wonderland.”
“Alice in Wonderland” performances will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, and Saturday, Feb. 13, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14. All shows are located in Leach Theatre of Missouri S&T’s Castleman Hall, 10th and Main streets in Rolla. Tickets are $9 for adults, $7 for kids 12 and under and $5 for S&T students with a valid student ID.
