The area community is invited to attend “Fairyland in Treble,” a performance of piano duets mixed with fairy tales for children, at Missouri University of Science and Technology this weekend.
The event will be held 2-3 p.m. Saturday, May 2, in Hasselmann Alumni House, located at 1100 N. Pine St. in Rolla. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided and children are encouraged to bring along a favorite stuffed animal to accompany them.
Lorie Francis, a lecturer in music at Missouri S&T, and Dr. Deborah Rambo Sinn, the 2015 Weiner Distinguished Professor of Humanities at Missouri S&T, will perform piano duets composed by Nikolas Sideris for computer games. The fairy tales will include a combination of traditional and newly written stories read by Missouri S&T faculty, staff and students.
