Missouri University of Science and Technology’s largest career fair in the university’s history will feature more than 300 companies who registered to attend the 2014 Fall Career Fair on Tuesday, Sept. 23.
Although Missouri S&T hosts a career fair in the fall and in the spring, employers visit S&T to interview students year-round. This semester, 213 rooms have been reserved for on-campus interviews. A total of 372 different employers are recruiting from Missouri S&T this fall, up 16 percent from last year.
This school year, 555 jobs have already been posted online by Missouri S&T career opportunities and employer relations (COER). More than 2,000 students looking for employment are registered with COER.
The average starting salary for undergraduates with S&T degrees is more than $61,000. The average starting salary for graduate students is more than $70,000.
The career fair is open to S&T students between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23. Faculty and staff are allowed to attend 8-9 a.m. or 2-3 p.m. For more information, contact COER at Missouri S&T at 573-341-6170 or career@mst.edu.
