More than 100 pieces of art created by students at Missouri University of Science and Technology will be on display May 9-15 in the Havener Center on the Missouri S&T Campus as part of the ninth annual Student Art Show, titled “Miner Muses.”

A reception will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, May 12, in the atrium of the Havener Center. The reception will feature live music, refreshments and a public vote for “Best of Show.” The reception is open to the public.

The show will include paintings, drawings, block prints, ceramics, jewelry and sculpture from 90 Missouri S&T students. Lara Edwards, a senior in biological sciences from Rolla, Mo., will premiere the first seven pages of her 35-page cartoon magazine in 24”x36” format. Rachel Skipper, a senior in geological engineering from Fayette, Mo., will present her painting, which was commissioned by the Missouri S&T arts, languages and philosophy department for a fall production. Some pieces will also be available for purchase.
