Enrollment for the first day of classes at Missouri University of Science and Technology was 7,296, a 6.5 percent increase from last year’s first day of spring enrollment, says Deanne Jackson, Missouri S&T registrar. This is the 12th consecutive year of enrollment increases.
The spring semester at Missouri S&T began on Tuesday, Jan. 21. Last spring, 6,853 students were enrolled on the first day of the spring semester.
“The increases we saw last fall in freshmen and master’s degree students, along with new undergraduate transfer students this semester, are giving us another record spring semester enrollment,” says Laura Stoll, vice provost and dean for enrollment management.
The university will continue to enroll students through the first weeks of the spring semester. The official enrollment figures for the semester will be released after the fourth week of classes.
