Begin the New Year by watching a classic Walt Disney movie at Missouri University of Science and Technology. “Cinderella” is the fifth film in the 2013-2014 Leach Theatre Family Film Series. Children who come to the theater dressed as a prince or princess will get a free treat from the concession stand.
The film will be shown at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, in Leach Theatre, located in Castleman Hall at 10th and Main streets in Rolla. Tickets are $3 each and will be available for purchase at the Leach Theatre Box Office at 10 a.m. the day of the show.
“Cinderella,” first released in 1950, tells the story of a young girl named Cinderella who lives with her stepmother and stepsisters and dreams of attending the royal ball. She is helped along the way by a group of mice and her fairy godmother. The running time for the film is 75 minutes.
After the film, coloring sheets and other activities will be available for free. Lunch, including a main dish, side and drink, will be available in the lobby of Leach Theatre starting at 11 a.m. Lunch tickets can be purchased in advance at the Leach Theatre Box Office window for $3 or individual items can be purchased ala carte.
