Nineteen new faculty members began teaching and research at Missouri University of Science and Technology since January 2013.The new faculty members are:

• Bayram Aksoy, assistant teaching professor of mining and nuclear engineering
• Todd Brewer, lecturer in civil, architectural and environmental engineering
• Alan Chapman, assistant professor of geological sciences and engineering
• Sajal Das, Daniel C. St. Clair Chair of computer science and chair of the computer science department
• Kyle DeMars, assistant professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering
• Lian Duan, assistant professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering
• Dimitri Feys, assistant professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering
• William Gillis III, lecturer in civil, architectural and environmental engineering
• Garry Grubbs, assistant professor of chemistry
• Steven Hilgedick, assistant research professor of geological sciences and engineering
• Zeshan Hyder, assistant teaching professor of mining and nuclear engineering
• Heng Pan, assistant professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering
• Terry Robertson, lecturer in arts, languages and philosophy
