Whether fishing for walleye on a lake in Canada, sandboarding on the dunes of Australia, hiking in Peru or practicing cheers on a beach in Florida, Missouri S&T students showed off their university pride as part of a summertime contest.

Missouri S&T received more than 20 photo submissions for the #MinerNation Instagram Photo Contest this summer. Contest participants were asked to take photos of themselves in Missouri S&T apparel wherever they were over the summer to show just how far and wide “Miner Nation” truly is.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate. Also thanks to the Missouri S&T Bookstore for providing the prizes. All photo contest submissions can be found below.

Based on the number of likes on Instagram, congratulations to the following winners:

  • Nathan Boys from Pomona, Mo., a sophomore in chemistry
  • Brandon Moore from Riverside, Calif., a freshman in architectural engineering
  • Dana Shannon from Crystal Lake, Ill., a sophomore in economics
  • Holly Tavin from Blue Springs, Mo., a freshman in biological sciences
