Missouri University of Science and Technology’s public radio station KMST will hold a “Membership Reunion” from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at the Lions Club Den on U.S. Highway 63 South in Rolla. This event replaces KMST’s annual membership picnic.
KMST Station Manager Wayne Bledsoe says last fall’s move of the membership picnic indoors was so well-received that the station will now hold the event indoors permanently. “Bad weather forced us inside, but it turned out to be a positive thing. Many of our members commented on how much they liked the inside venue,” he says. “We decided to retool the event, change the name to KMST Membership Reunion, and move it to the spring.”
Members are invited to stop by the event for a buffet-style meal anytime from 5 to 7 p.m. The menu will include pulled pork and smoked turkey provided by Swiss Meat and Sausage Co. of Hermann, Mo.; chicken provided by Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken of Rolla; and beverages provided by Ozarks Coca-Cola/Dr. Pepper Bottling Co. of Rolla. Family and friends are asked to bring a covered dish, salad or dessert. KMST’s 2013 Volunteer of the Year will also be named at the reunion.
Reservations are required. RSVP to Sandy Ray by Tuesday, April 23, by calling 573-341-4386 or 888-776-5678, or by emailing crouchs@mst.edu.
