Bix Skahill, a writer and director of film and television projects, will give two lectures at Missouri University of Science and Technology.
“How to Write a Screenplay” will be presented at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, in Room 201 Humanities and Social Sciences Building. “The Business of Hollywood Screenwriting” will be presented at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, in the St. Pat’s Ballroom of the Havener Center. Both talks are open to the public.
Skahill wrote the screenplay and directed the film Life Without Dick, starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Harry Connick Jr., and wrote the screenplay for Chain of Fools, starring Steve Zahn, Salma Hayek and Jeff Goldblum. He is currently in negotiations to direct his latest project, a psychological horror film titled The Last Girl.
