Ceramic engineering society named national chapter of the year

The Missouri University of Science and Technology chapter of Keramos, the national professional ceramic engineering society, was named chapter of the year by the national organization.


The S&T chapter was recognized during the American Ceramic Society’s annual meeting in October in Pittsburgh. Pa.

Missouri S&T Keramos members recognized at the ACerS meeting were:

  • Steven Ashlock, a senior in ceramic engineering from Kansas City, Mo.
  • Megan Gilbert, a senior in ceramic engineering from Licking, Mo.
  • Jeff Josken, a senior in ceramic engineering from Naperville, Ill.
  • Will Meier, a senior in materials science and engineering from Kansas City, Mo.
  • Amber Powell, a senior in ceramic engineering from Lake Ozark, Mo.
