Students at Missouri University of Science and Technology will perform the adult drama Two Rooms this weekend. The play by Lee Blessing deals with the taking of innocent hostages by political terrorists and is rated R.

Performances will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, and Saturday, Oct. 13, in the Blackbox Theatre of Castleman Hall on the Missouri S&T campus, 10th and Main streets in Rolla. Tickets are $5 and can be reserved by emailing smorgan@mst.edu.

“It’s the story of a kidnapped college professor, his wife, and those who try to manipulate the situation,” says Jeanne Stanley, assistant professor of theater in the arts, languages and philosophy department at S&T. “Senior Andrew Herbert directs the play and the cast plays the horror and the drama with a fine hand — never pushing too far emotionally, but rather creating a reality that is truly haunting.”
