Public radio station KMST and St. James Winery will host a special 11-day “Discover Portugal” tour in April 2013. The escorted tour is arranged through Globus.

Hosted by KMST’s station manager Wayne Bledsoe and Andrew Meggitt, executive winemaker at St. James Winery, the tour will depart on April 24 and return on May 5.

“This trip will take us to several prestigious wineries that are little known to American travelers,” says Bledsoe. “These newly discovered award-winning wines will be complemented by delectable Portuguese cuisine and local entertainment. What a wonderful opportunity to explore the less-trodden ‘other Europe’ — I hope you’ll join us!”

KMST and St. James Winery will host two informational presentations about the tour at Trips and More Travel, located at 116 W. 8th St., in downtown Rolla. Wine and cheese will be served by St. James Winery. Reservations are required for the presentations.
