Missouri University of Science and Technology will conduct a test of its emergency alert system at noon Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012.
The test will include a text, voice and email alert to students and employees.
During the test, students, faculty and staff who are signed up for the university’s mass notification system will receive text, voice and email messages. The text and email notification will read, “This is a test of the Missouri S&T emergency mass notification system. This is only a test. Please reply to confirm.”
The university’s emergency alert system is in place to notify the campus community in the event of a threat to campus health and safety. These may include weather-related emergencies.
Students, faculty and staff who are not enrolled in the emergency alert system may sign up online.
