Take a trip back to 1959 to the day of the Sunday School Christmas Program. A group of church ladies are in the basement, finishing up preparations for the program, while the children practice upstairs. They share memories of Christmases past as they mend costumes, discuss the politics of casting roles, cling to “what’s always been done” and contemplate new ideas. In a show filled with witty banter and comical antics, find out what happens when these down-to-earth ladies are called upon to step in and save the day.

“Away in the Basement” is sponsored in part by My Sunny Radio 104.5 and First Community National Bank Financial Services Inc.

Leach Theatre will offer discounted tickets through its “Back Row Club” one hour prior to the event, should tickets remain for the show. The seats in the last row of the theater will be sold for $10 each prior to the performance.
