An exhibition of works by watercolor artist James Madison Miller opens with a 6 p.m. reception on Tuesday, Aug. 30, at Missouri University of Science and Technology. The reception will be held in the lobby of Leach Theatre in Castleman Hall, 10th and Main streets in Rolla, Mo.
“Miller’s watercolors are evocative, apprehensible and downright beautiful,” says Dr. James J. Bogan Jr., Curators’ Teaching Professor of art history and film at Missouri S&T. “Get a look at them early and revisit to pick a favorite.”
The opening film in the S&T Free Fall Film Festival, Exit Through the Gift Shop, will be screened immediately following the reception at 7 p.m.
The watercolor exhibition is sponsored by the Missouri S&T Campus Art Committee. Miller’s work will be displayed in the lobby of Leach Theatre through December.
