Innovations in Mining Engineering (IME 2011), a three-day conference focusing on research and technological advances in the mining industry, will be hosted by Missouri University of Science and Technology Aug. 30 through Sept. 1 on the university’s campus.
The conference will include presentations from industry leaders, world-renowned researchers and professional mining engineers. Topics will include novel mining methods; mine production engineering; ground control and safety engineering; drilling, blasting and demolition; sustainable development; mine economics and financing; and minerals, materials and coal processing.
Several short courses will be offered the day prior to the conference, on Monday, Aug. 29. Participants will receive four professional development hours (PDHs) for each session.
