Students can still sign up for two three-day Aerospace Camps at Missouri University of Science and Technology. The camps will be held July 12-14 and July 26-28. Students should be age 10 to 13 on or before camp begins.
Aerospace Camp is designed to stimulate an interest in science among students in the middle school and junior high grades. Campers will experience aeronautics and space flight from a ground-up perspective, as they learn about the history of flight, astronomy and space exploration.
Activities include computer-based flight simulations, adventure-based team building and practical hands-on experiences. Students will construct and launch rockets, work with robotics, and learn orienteering using hand-held GPS devices.
The camp is $225 per child, which includes a two-night stay on campus and all meals during the three-day camp.
