The student chapters of Women in Nuclear and the American Nuclear Society at Missouri University of Science and Technology will be hosting a public forum on the situation with Japan’s reactors at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, in the Havener Center on campus. The forum will be held in St. Pat’s Ballroom B.
Faculty members from the university’s nuclear engineering department will be on hand to discuss the progression of events and answer questions. Submit questions in advance to ans@mst.edu or win@mst.edu .
Missouri S&T is home to one of three nuclear reactors in the state of Missouri. The S&T facility is used for teaching and research. S&T is one of only 22 universities in the nation to offer bachelor’s degrees in nuclear engineering. Thirty institutions in the country, including S&T, offer doctoral degrees in the discipline.
